James E. Herbe, Esq.

James E. Herbe is an experienced attorney practicing extensively in the areas of workers' compensation, personal injury, civil litigation, criminal law, bankruptcy, and family law.  Mr. Herbe joined Black & LoBello in 2008 to offer a full-service law practice to all of his current and future clients. Prior to joining Black & LoBello, Mr. Herbe was a managing partner in his own firm providing legal services in all relevant practice areas. 

Mr. Herbe is a well-respected member of the Nevada Bar who has received recognition for his extensive volunteer work.  Recently, Mr. Herbe was awarded with Certificate of Commendations from Nevada Senators Harry Reid and John Ensign for his volunteer work with the Clark County Pro Bono Project.  During the 2008 calendar year, Mr. Herbe was one of only a few attorneys to reach the Legal Aid Center 100 Hour Club for time spent assisting low-income clients with pro bono legal services in the area of family law.  Mr. Herbe has well-rounded litigation skills having experience in civil, criminal, and domestic trials, and workers' compensation appeals.  His prior litigation experience is a useful asset in providing Black & LoBello's clients full-service legal representation.   

Mr. Herbe has also worked as a volunteer public defender with the New Orleans Parish during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.  Mr. Herbe is a published author of the book Stop the Cops!!, an easy to read introduction to an individual's civil rights when dealing with law enforcement and the judicial system. In addition, Mr. Herbe has been a featured writer for Collector Mentor Magazine.

Mr. Herbe is a 2000 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor of arts degrees in Political Science and Computer Information Systems. Mr. Herbe attended law school at the University of Cincinnati and obtained his Juris Doctor in May 2005. Mr. Herbe became an active member of the Nevada Bar in January 2006.  

Mr. Herbe is currently licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada and the United States District Court, District of Nevada.
